Wharton School Club of South Florida recognizes Armando Codina with highest honor

The Wharton School Club of South Florida will honor Armando Codina, Executive Chairman of real estate development company Codina Partners, LLC, as the 2017 Joseph Wharton Business Statesman of the Year.

The Joseph Wharton Business Statesman of the Year award, is given to leaders who exemplify outstanding executive management and have made significant contributions to the community. Codina will be recognized at the Joseph Wharton Awards Dinner on thursday, October 12th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the JW Marriott in downtown Miami.

“While providing leadership in several real estate companies, Mr. Armando Codina has remained a true gentleman and family man, and has tirelessly given back to the community,” said Sonia Rodriguez, president of The Wharton School Club of South Florida. “We are honored to share this moment together with all those who celebrate him.”

Past recipients of this award include Manny Medina, visionary founder of Emerge Americas and CEO of Cyxtera Technologies; Keith Koeing, president of City Furniture; James W. McLamore, founder and former Chairman of Burger King Corporation; Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO of Royal Carribean Cruises, Ltd.

Codina’s experience and expertise in real estate development and management spans more than 30 years. He is known for driving the successful transformation of South Florida’s communities into more vital, prosperous centers for living, working, culture and commerce. Codina was previously recognized by the Wharton School Club of South Florida as Entrepreneur of the Year.
